LLK2: Learning Through Projects

1. Animate a Name: Animate the letters of your name, initials, or favorite word.

In this activity, you will:

• Make a project with Scratch

• Share your project (and your process!) with the community

Activity steps:

2. activity on Scratch.

3. Make your own project by following the tutorial. Feel free to try your own variation!

4. Share your project on the Scratch website (create a Scratch account if you’re new to the community).

5. Share the link to your Scratch project, and describe your experience of making it, by replying to this post answering one (or more) of the following -- making connections to the book, Lifelong Kindergarten:

• Has your experience with Scratch changed the way you think about coding? How did you think of coding before? How do you think of it now?

• Have you helped others learn to create projects? What were the biggest challenges you faced? What strategies have you used to address these challenges? What questions do you have about a project-based approach to learning?

• The Creative Learning Spiral is a way to think about the creative process. How would you describe or draw your own creative learning process?
