Hello parents and students,
I’m Teacher Tara, and it has been a truly meaningful year growing together with Gamcho English.
Over the past year, I have had the privilege of working with many wonderful students and supportive parents. Your trust and partnership have made every class engaging, productive, and rewarding. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your English learning journey.
This past year has also been an important season of professional growth for me.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching (M.A. ELT) at Cebu Normal University, while actively participating in international webinars and teacher-training programs. These experiences have helped me refine my teaching strategies and design lessons that are both academically sound and learner-centered.
With this growth comes a renewed commitment—and an opportunity to reintroduce myself.
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, motivated, and actively engaged.
My classes focus on authentic communication, where students are encouraged to express their ideas confidently and think critically. English skills are developed in an integrated way—never in isolation.
Macro skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing
Micro skills: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence structure
These skills are strengthened through meaningful tasks, real-life discussions, and guided practice.
If you are looking for a class that builds both confidence and competence, my classroom is designed with your learning goals in mind.
David Marsh, proponent of Content and Langauge Integrated Learning
I carefully select textbooks and learning materials that support real communication, critical thinking, and academic growth, rather than rote
memorization.
American English textbooks (project-based and skills-integrated series)
Literary Texts (age-appropriate classic and contemporary works)
ELT Books for structured accuracy practice (building macro and micro skills)
Authentic materials (articles, short texts, multimedia resources)
American Textbooks are used as starting points for discussion, writing, and projects, not as end goals.
Literature is explored through guided reading, discussion, analysis, and reflective responses.
ELT materials are applied to real-life speaking and writing tasks. Other skills are taught in context, reinforcing accuracy in meaningful communication.
Authentic materials are used as spring boards in developing advanced speaking skills, real-life awareness, and critical thinking.
Students integrate reading, speaking, writing, and creative output through meaningful projects such as:
presentations
blogs and essays
infographics and research-based tasks
They develop essential academic skills including critical thinking, organization of ideas, and proper citation.
