Welcome to ERPT! Within this training your trainer will go through the handbook to make sure you understand everything within it. Make sure to ask the trainer if you have any questions and they will more than happily give you an answer. Please make sure you have the Probationary Response Officer handbook open so that you are able to follow along. You do not have the opportunity to fail this training as it is purely informational, so don't be nervous!
This is the list of who can do mandatory trainings:
⁌ Scene Containment training - Advanced Officers+
⁌ Basic Pursuit training - RPU Mentor
⁌ Basic Negotiation training - SCO-19 (OFC)
⁌ Communication training - NPAS Flight Instructor
⁌ Breach Training - SCO-19 (OFC)
Optional Trainings:
⁌ Glock Training - Probationary Response Officer+ - Any SPE/OFC
(The glock training is only available after all the above trainings are completed)
To get promoted from a probationary officer to a response officer, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have completed your Scene Containment Training
- Have been a member of the ERPT for a minimum of 5 days
- Have received 0 strikes
- Have reached a minimum of 15 hours total clocked on
The Vehicles you are permitted to drive can be found here. Unmarked vehicles are not allowed to be driven at the Probationary Response Officer Rank however once you recieve a promotion Unmarked Vehicles can be used!
The uniform you are permitted to wear as a Probationary Response Officer can also be found in the section 'Uniforms and Vehicles' along with the other uniforms for when you rank up!
These state codes will help you when radioing in to other officers letting them know your current status, the radio is one of the most important assets to the MPS and should be used with care and proffesionally at all times. Saying this only use the Radio for MPS callouts and not for conversating.
