Congratulations on achieving the rank of Probationary Response Officer within ERPT (Emergency Response Patrol Team). We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the ERPT handbook, located within #erpt-info, to stay current with the latest information within the division. As a Probationary Response Officer, your primary responsibility is to promptly and efficiently address a wide range of emergency and non-emergency situations within the city. Your role involves responding to calls for assistance and ensuring public safety. Whether it's handling store robberies, setting up scene containment, or helping your fellow officers, you play a crucial role in maintaining order. Effective communication skills are vital, as you interact with diverse individuals and give information to other officers. The ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and uphold policing standards is essential in fulfilling your duties as a Probationary Response Officer.
In order to become a Response Officer and progress within ERPT, you will have need to completed the following:
Scene Containment Training
ERPT Induction
5 days as a Probationary Response Officer
15 hours within ERPT
0 Strikes
Once all of these parameters have been met, you will be eligible for a promotion to Response Officer.
Every officer within the MET must achieve at least 5 hours a week in order to not be striked by command.

As a Probationary Response Officer you are required to wear a ERPT police hat and are only allowed to drive marked police vehicles
ERPT Induction - Completed by ERPT (Advanced Officer+)
Basic Pursuit Training completed by RPU (Mentor+) HANDBOOK
Basic Negotiation Training completed by SCO-19 (OFC) HANDBOOK
Communication Training completed by NPAS (Flight Instructors+) HANDBOOK
Scene Containment Training completed by ERPT (Advanced Officers+) HANDBOOK
Breach Training completed by SCO-19 (OFC) HANDBOOK
Once you reach the rank of Response Officer you will be eligible to complete:
Custody Sergeant Training completed by ERPT (Specialist Response Team) HANDBOOK
Once you reach the rank of Senior Response Officer you will be eligible to complete:
Dog Support Unit Training completed by ERPT (Advanced Officers+) HANDBOOK
Shotgun Training completed by SCO-19 (OFC) & COP (SE), you must also be a Sergeant within MPS. HANDBOOK
Once you reach the rank of Advanced Response Officer you will be eligible to complete:
Bike Training completed by RPU (Mentor+) HANDBOOK
Speed Gun Training completed by RPU (Mentor+) HANDBOOK
Low Speed Tac Contact Training completed by RPU (Mentor+) HANDBOOK
Drone Training completed by NPAS (Flight Instructor+) HANDBOOK
Horse Training completed by ERPT (Specialist Response Team) HANDBOOK
Once you reach the rank of Specialist Response Team you will be eligible to complete:
High Speed Tac Contact Training completed by RPU (Mentor+) HANDBOOK
