Territorial Support Group

What is TSG?

The Territorial Support Group or more commonly known as TSG is a specialist and tactical support unit within ERPT. Within this unit, officers are trained to the highest level within the MET to deal with high risk operations while supporting Trident and SCO-19. Some of these operations include, but are not limited to:

Public Disorder and Riot Control
High Risk Arrests
Crowd Management Checkpoints
Tactical Trident Support
Warrant Execution
Active Group patrols

What are the new changes to TSG?

We have come up with new and improved ideas to make sure each individual enjoys their time in TSG:

Tactical Trident Support

TSG will be a part of Trident Operations Assisting them with Territorial and security coverage around perimeters, Our main goal will be to maintain and protect the area, keeping all trident officers and civilians safe during RP

Crowd Management Checkpoints

Groups of officers will be authorized the ability to create road / pedestrian checkpoints with a section 60 stop & search zone in crowded areas, this will be a fun innovative way of creating RP with civillians and another oppurtunity for officers to show themselves in RP

Group Patrolling

TSG Command will be actively hosting group patrols where we will be attending robberys, patrolling crowded areas. During patroll we will have the ability to pull vehicles and pedestrians over that are acting suspiciously (e.g wearing masks in crowded areas), question and search them under section 60.

How to I become a member of TSG?

To become a member of TSG you will need to have the following:

Be a Constable +
Be a Response Officer +
Have Good Communication
Be a Team Player
Have all mandatory trainings completed
Must be firearms trained

Once all of the above has been completed you are eligible to attend the TSG training that is held by ERPT Command and the Commander of TSG.

What is the Uniform & Equipment?

Members of TSG are given the tools needed in order to fulfil their duties to the fullest. Below are some of the uniform and equipment TSG officers use:

Commander of TSG

The commander of TSG is in charge of running the unit and making sure operations are getting put forward and are running smoothly. They are the one who consults with the ERPT Command team and lets them know if there are any problems that need to be addressed and how to better the unit.
