Exhibit 6

Small Company Advertisement

Revised design above. Original design below.

Background: My friend recently acquired a longarm quilting machine and has had enough practice to start advertising for business. She asked if I would create a flyer to print. She completed a survey so I could obtain more information about her design needs. The content of the text was provided. Some results of the survey questions follow:

What style do you prefer? Fun and whimsical

Do you have preferred elements to include? I can provide some pictures

What is the name of your company? Deb's Longarm Quilting Services

Design:

  • Contrast: Light and dark color contrasts that were selected from the colors in the quilts. The sans serif font displaying the company and contact information contrasts the decorative font of the company name.

  • Repetition: The stitching design is repeated across elements. The font color is repeated for all text. The background colors, stitching colors, and text colors are repeated from colors in the quilt photos.

  • Alignment: The text is aligned to the left in the pink rectangle. The company name is aligned to the top and spans the length of the printable area. The photograph and background use about 2/3 of the printable area while the information box uses about 1/3 of the printable area. The general information aligns with the top row of the quilting squares while the contact information aligns with the bottom row of the quilting squares.

  • Proximity: The information about the services provided are related by proximity while the contact information is related by proximity. A flourish also divides the contents.

  • Color: The colors were drawn from colors in the quilt photos. Shades of similar color were selected to accent the rectangles. All of the text is the same color.

Photoshop:

  • Convert to smart objects.

  • Free transform, resize.

  • Pattern overlay effect.

  • Text boxes with horizontal text.

  • The eye dropper tool to match colors selected for the backgrounds, stitching, and text.

  • Rectangle tool to create shape. Layer mask, copy and "paste into" used to create quilt blocks.

  • Shape fill. Stroke color fill, stroke options to create stitching effect, size adjustment of stroke, color change for stroke.

  • Grouping layers.

  • Adjust leading, font, and font size.

  • Install new font.

Revisions:

After feedback, the following changes were made:

  • The vertical scale of the font for the company name was reduced in scale to allow adequate space between the text and other elements.

  • The font for the information was changed to Franklin Gothic Demi, which provided more similarity to the font of the company name while maintaining contrast as a sans serif font. Using this font also increased the weight of the text to create higher contrast against a background of lighter tint.

  • Bullets were added to introduce the list of important information about the services provided.

  • The text for important information was separated into separate text boxes to allow for individual spacing between lines and bullets.

  • The word "Contact" was removed for concision and the owner's name was enlarged to introduce the contact information.

  • The hyphens in the phone number were replaced with periods as suggested for a more modern presentation.

  • Feedback was provided that printed flyers are typically created with a portrait orientation rather than a landscape orientation. Although no orientation changes were made in this revision, this information has been taken into consideration and will be reviewed with the owner of the company as future revisions and purposes for the design are discussed.
