Alresford - Peto Cup
The Peto Cup was given to the District by District Commissioner Geoffrey Peto in 1924.
Geoffrey Peto (1878 - 1956) was a politician, and in the same year that he donated the cup, he was also elected as MP for Frome, Somerset. He lost his seat in 1929 but was re-elected in 1931 as MP for Bilston, Wolverhampton.
