Navigating the intricate world of international arbitration, I bring nearly a decade of legal expertise to resolve high-stakes, complex disputes.
As a Registered Foreign Lawyer (England and Wales) at Tanner de Witt (an independent Hong Kong firm with an international client base), I previously honed my skills at leading international arbitration teams at Allen & Overy in Hong Kong, Three Crowns in London and Herbert Smith Freehills' arbitration teams in New York and Hong Kong.
My journey began as a judge's clerk at the New Zealand Supreme Court.
Throughout my career, I have been instrumental in over a dozen international commercial arbitration cases and several investment treaty arbitrations, representing both investors and states.
My extensive experience spans a range of major arbitral rules, including HKIAC, ICC, LCIA, ICDR, ICSID, and UNCITRAL, and encompasses diverse seats such as The Hague, Singapore, London, Geneva, Austria, Hawaii, and Washington, DC.
I bring a unique blend of legal acumen and global perspective to navigate the complex arbitration landscape.
I am ranked as a “Future Leader” in Who’s Who Legal – Arbitration 2022-2023, one of four “Most Highly Regarded (Non-Partners)” in Asia-Pacific in the same publication for 2023.
I am ranked in Legal 500’s Private Practice Powerlist – Arbitration (United Kingdom) 2022.
Peers and clients say that I am “a distinguished practitioner with a wealth of experience, known as a ‘first-class and sharp practitioner’ who is ‘able to tackle extremely complex technical issues’ while ‘never leaving a stone unturned’”.
