I graduated from Yale Law School with an LLM in 2015.
Hong Kong and Yale are nearly half a world apart, but the Yale Club of Hong Kong is an organization that brings them closer.
The Club exists to strengthen the bonds between graduates and friends of Yale University and to promote Yale and it interests in Hong Kong.
The Yale Club of Hong Kong is one of the most vibrant Yale Clubs outside of the United States, composed of over 600 alumni from most of Yale's fifteen schools.
A fun coffee meeting with David Lai, who graduated from Yale College. I enjoyed hearing about David's time at Yale College, his experience raising three sons, and his consulting work with Creative Kindergarten. We are both keen to engage with our friends at the Yale Club of Shenzhen across the border!
A fantastic Lunch Club match with Chi Pan. We talked about our time at YLS, how we both came to HK, Chi's diving adventures and my experiences as a mama. Thank you, as always, to the Yale Lunch Club!
A wonderful dinner with our friends across the border!
Kevin Li and I had a lovely lunch at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where Kevin is a Yale-China fellow.
Kento Tanaka and I had a lovely lunch at LUMI. We talked about our respective experiences at Yale (him at College, me at the Law School), our connection to CUHK, putting down roots in Hong Kong, linguistics and psychology, and what to cook for Thanksgiving. Thank you, as always, to the Yale Lunch Club!

Bringing a little bit of New Haven to Hong Kong! Thank you very much to the Yale Club of Hong Kong for organising these monthly lunch club dates for Yalies in Hong Kong.
I got to meet Edith Terry, who fell in love with Asia as a child, living there as part of a diplomatic family, as well as with Lora Chow, CFA, who sang in the Saturday performance of the HK Philharmonic/HK Ballet in Carmina Burana, which I was lucky to watch!
I have very fond memories of my time at Yale Law School and am glad to be able to enjoy those connections in my city of birth, Hong Kong, too.
Thank you to the angels who organise the Yale HK Lunch Club, Andrew Junker, Dr. Minh Tran, Jinshan Hong and Betty Ho.
