This project was phase two of a thoughtfully planned home renovation following a kitchen and primary bathroom remodel completed in 2020. This time, the hall bathroom was due for its own transformation.
The existing bathroom lacked style cohesion and spatial clarity. The homeowners wanted to preserve the home’s original mid-century modern character while introducing vibrant color, bold design choices, and improved functionality.
Inspired by retro palettes and clean lines, the new design pairs playful elements with mid-century sensibility. A standout orange tile wall now anchors the walk-in shower, framed in sleek glass and complemented by modern chrome fixtures.
A custom turquoise vanity, complete with matte black hardware and an orange mosaic tile backsplash, ties into the shower’s color story while offering a fun contrast to the otherwise minimalist finishes. The flat-panel cabinetry remains true to classic mid-century detailing.
A white geometric screen wall was designed to create light separation between the soaking tub and toilet, as a nod to vintage room dividers. A floral wallpaper adds a whimsical punch.
The result is a bathroom that blends mid-century modern roots with a playful twist, reflecting the homeowners' personal style and the home's spirit.
