Knitted using the wonderful Brioche Knitting technique, the fabric is light and bouncy, the Brioche Lace element turns the lines of beautiful hand dyed yarns into a striking pattern, and the shawl is wonderfully warm and soft as it drapes around the shoulders for a cosy feel.
Knitted in two colours from the top down, the shawl comes in two sizes, and is the perfect project for knitters who are already confident with the basics of Two-Colour Brioche Knitting.
The Medium Shawl measures aprroximately 180cm / 70" x 75cm / 29" and the Large Size Shawl 210cm / 82" x 110 / 43" after blocking.
The Medium Shawl uses 2 x 100g of 4ply / Fingering weight yarns, and the photographed shawl is made with 100g Right Side Yarns 4ply (100% Polwarth Superwash 400m / 437yds) in "Sound of Harris" (deep turquoise), and 100g Cookston Crafts 4ply (75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon 425m / 468yds) in "Bellini" (peach).
The Large Size Shawl uses 4 x 100g of 4ply / Fingering weight yarns.
