Control System:
The control console I’d designed and built would allow the user to select speed, number of repetitions, and be able to start/stop the vehicle at any time. The system utilizes an Arduino nano with an accompanying motor controller to output a set programed voltage commands to the motor which would operate the system.
Problems Encountered:
Using 2 L298N motor controls in parallel would always cause one to explode as back feeding was occurring.
Replaced the parallel controllers with a more powerful 13A motor controller.
Control code would occasionally crash which was likely to due with the motor controllers rather than microcontrollers.
Sadly, I did not get the opportunity to fully complete this project due to time constraints. However, the parts completed by such as the fully mechanism, position detection through color, and physical control console functioned as intended.
