The self-monitoring cooling system designed for the Surface 7 Pro laptop is a simple but innovative solution aimed at efficiently managing the device's thermal performance to ensure optimal operation. This system employs a tmp36 sensor and arduino nano to regulate fan speed and allow the user to manually activate full power.
1. Embedded Temperature Sensor: At the heart of this cooling system is a highly sensitive and accurate embedded temperature sensor. This sensor continuously monitors the Surface 7 Pro's external temperature, tracking even the slightest fluctuations in heat.
2. Variable Voltage Control: The output from the temperature sensor is a variable voltage signal that corresponds directly to the laptop's current temperature. As the laptop heats up during intensive tasks like note taking or video editing, the voltage output from the sensor increases in proportion to the temperature rise.
3. Efficient Heat Dissipation: The rapid response of the fan to temperature changes ensures that excess heat is quickly and effectively removed from critical internal components. This prevents thermal throttling, which can lead to reduced performance and potential long-term damage to the laptop.
4. User-Friendly Interface: To further enhance user experience, the cooling system includes a toggle switch which can alternate between manual and automotive mode. Manual mode will enable full power which I use between classes to quickly cool down the laptop. Automotive mode will utilize the temperature sensor to simply warry the voltage.
