This testbench is built to create power transmission trough plasma at a maximum voltage difference of 6KV and a max current of 6A. Although this system is relatively low current, plasma is generated over a 1-2cm gap distance in a vacuum.
I programmed a GUI used to control and monitor the entire testbench remotely. The variac sliders are used for controlling voltage input while the other controls operate secondary functions on the testbench. The graphing tab displays 8 graphs used to display data from a custom isolated ADC board which I'd designed and programed. The graphing tab is also used to record data at roughly 3.33kHz with 8 channels.
The electronics stack is designed to be compact and easy to repurpose for different testbench setups. The stack layers are insulated with aluminum from each other and a wire gauge is used to further isolate from high voltage spikes created by the plasma generation. All the electronics are isolated between outputs and inputs connected to the teensy microcontroller.
