Class overview
In our interactive learning resource, we will be introducing and teaching the Basic Information of Essential Nutrients in our body, including what the concept of nutrient is, why nutrients are important in our daily diets, what the positive and negative impacts of nutrients are, and how people can make dietary choices in order to design balanced diet plans.
How does our class work?
Our class runs fully remote where you as students can access and work on the given materials as you wish. However, please note that all assignments are due no later than the last day of class.
Learning Outcomes
Define the meaning of nutrients and explain why nutrients are essential for our health
Explain the impact of nutrition on our everyday diets.
Identify all six essential nutrients and examine the effects of each nutrient in our body
Create a nutrition plan that is relatively balanced and reasonable
Meet your Instructors:
Although this course runs fully remote, your instructors (Tejpreet Mand, Meaghan Leong, Elysian Luo, and Kyra Catana) will all run office hours on zoom at different days/times during the week. A zoom link will be provided that works for ALL office hours. This is so if you require help on a topic/assignment you can reach us during these times. If you cannot make any of these times, DO NOT FRET! We also answer emails and will be happy to meet with you one on one at a time that works best for you.
