virgin sponsorship

I have camped with EBB&Glow before.  how do i sponsor a new Camper?

By bringing a first time camper to EBB & Glow Village, you become their official sponsor. You will be held accountable if that person turns out to be crappy. If issues come up on playa you will be asked to step in and keep them in line. 

If the person you've invited is a First Time Burner, then it's your responsibility to make sure your Virgin is prepared for Burning Man. You will be their go-to person if they have questions or need help before or during the event. 

As their sponsor:

• You vouch that they are trustworthy, not a drama llama, and will make a good addition to the village community

• You will talk with them pre-playa about BM preparation and survival, the 10 Principles, and the 11th Principle of Consent

• You will be their guide and go-to person if they run into issues or need help on playa

• You will make sure they go to one of the two Virtual Virgin Orientations that we've scheduled this summer, which are mandatory for virgins before they camp with us

• You will make sure they know our on-playa Work Expectations, and that they're expected to fully participate in our community

• You understand YOU are accountable and assuming responsibility for this person. If your virgin is a flaky, lazy fuckup, you may face consequences, such as we may never let you bring another virgin using a DGS ticket, never assign YOU another DGS ticket, or never let you camp with us again, depending on the level of disaster.
