help needed

Here are the jobs that we currently need help with on playa. We're still working on our sign-up schedule, but once it comes out there will be a link for you to sign up for your shifts. Please see the Who's Who of EBB&Glow Village on this portal for information on leads who will get you scheduled. Each year we have a village shifts scheduler and you'll probably be directed to that by the lead.

Ice Runners

You get ice with a partner. Ice Plan for the year is provided in the July and August meetings.

Happens around noon. Task-based.

Bike Shop Repair Mechanics

We're in dire need of mechanics. You will get trained on how to fix bikes, and then help fix them on playa. The people you help will be TOTALLY blown away with gratitude, because this is seriously the MOST rewarding work on playa you can do.

Four hour shifts. Open 9am – 1pm at the beginning of the week. Hours shift later until it's 1pm – 5pm by the end of the week.

BARTENDERS

You get to dispense fancy beer from fancy beer pulls, bartending from a bar made out of literal pianos. How Burning Man is that?

Spa greeters

If we have a Spa in 2024, we're looking for social, friendly people to help at the Dream Spa. Greet visitors and get them set up with their DIY spa treatments. You get to meet lots of people and help make them happy.

Shifts in the afternoon. Hours TBD. Check out the shift scheduler for this year's needs.

Photobooth Crew

We're looking for folks to be Street Pimps recruiting people to come in to get their portraits taken. You get to be one of THOSE people in the street with a megaphone. We're also looking for people to help with photobooth signups.

Shifts are in the middle of the afternoon, when the lighting is best
