Yore Dragons appear with many different coverings, from scales to fur to feathers.
Adapted for forests, plains, and mountains, Yores appear differently in every biome.
The base of every Yore's design.
Some extra details to add to your design.
Spikes and crests may appear on many Yores, and some even show vestigial wings.

All Yores are unique, but some are more unique than others.
Additional customization for your Yore.
Markings may not solely cover the design by themselves. A single marking should never cover more than 90% of a Yore's design by itself, but multiple markings may fully hide the Yore's base coat and other markings if their ranges allow it.
Markings may mimic each other if both appear on the same design, allowing for 'fading' into each other for a design's cohesion.
Markings may use the Yore's exact base color IF they are above a differently colored marking, making the appearance of 'cutouts' in the other marking. Markings may not be completely hidden through color choice alone.
Markings which are gradients may add a gradient to markings which pass over their range, lightening or darkening them gently. This should not cause an affected marking to take on a color which is not already legal for the marking.
Top Layer markings consist mainly of white markings. These lay over all markings in the Main Layer, but Top Layer markings may freely layer with each other.
Main Layer markings comprise the vast majority of markings Yores may display. They may freely layer under and over each other. Main Layer markings always layer under Top Layer markings, but over Base Layer markings.
Base Layer markings are those which mainly affect the base coat, such as adding a gradient. These alter the base and layer underneath Main and Top layer markings, BUT may affect markings which pass over their range.
Markings will generally have a single range listed. This comprises their maximum range, without being affected by the marking's Het. or Hom. form. This range may be impacted by Limited genes!
A marking with the Full range can appear anywhere on the body. These markings may cover as little as 10% of the Yore but should not generally cover more than 75%! 90% is the absolute maximum.
Common markings have very little difference between their Heterozygous and Homozygous forms.
Color: In Het. form, Common markings may have a gradient of a darker or lighter shade of their chosen color, within the marking's color rules. In Hom. form, Common markings may have a gradient of any legal color for the marking.
Coverage: Unless otherwise stated, Common markings should at minimum cover about 20% of their range, but may appear anywhere within that range.
Layering: Common markings are all within the Main Layer, and may freely layer above and below each other.

Uncommon markings generally allow for an additional color or layer of shapes, between their Heterozygous and Homozygous forms.
Color: In Het. form, Uncommon markings may have a gradient of a darker or lighter shade of their chosen color, within the marking's color rules. In Hom. form, Uncommon markings may have a gradient of any legal color for the marking, as well as .
Coverage: Unless otherwise stated, Uncommon markings should at minimum cover about 20% of their range, but may appear anywhere within that range.
Layering: Uncommon markings are generally within the Main layering section, and may freely layer above and below each other. Check your Uncommon marking's guide, as some are within the Top layer.

Rare markings are generally limited in their Heterozygous form, but take a much more dramatic look in their Homozygous form.
Color: In Het. form, Rare markings may have a gradient of a darker or lighter shade of their chosen color, within the marking's color rules. In Hom. form, Rare markings have specific color allowances.
Coverage: Unless otherwise stated, Rare markings should at minimum cover about 20% of their range, but may appear anywhere within that range.
Layering: Check your Rare marking's Layer in its guide. Most are in the Main Layer.

Coverage: Unless otherwise stated, Double markings should at minimum cover about 20% of their range, but may appear anywhere within that range.

Unlike most markings, which have one gene code in one locus, Limited genes appear in pairs on the same locus.
Limited genes appear almost exclusively in Heterozygous form, and are associated with severe Penalty mutations in Homozygous form.
Effect: Limited genes may affect the color or shape of other markings, requiring the use of a specific palette or making markings break their normal shape and coverage rules.
Coverage: Limited genes generally affect the entire design, altering other features.
Layering: Limited genes sit within the Top Layer when they affect the design, but some affect the Yore's physical features instead.
