At the beginning of the season I gave everyone some draft grades. Not that the regular season is over and we have ventured into the Post Season, I wanted to get a little look at how horrible my takes were. I'll repost what was posted, and include my grading of my grading, as well as my new thoughts. Anyways, just read:
Jacksonville Jacks - A+ My first instict is to hate the Amari Cooper pick but then I see its in the 6th round and he is your WR4. Respectable. I then think, surely, he has a bad QB and TE. He picked up Stafford and Ertz in the 9th and 10th, INCREDIBLE value that deep. If Barkely can return to form and Dobbins gets healthy quick enough... Look out. Chase, Allen, ARob (now with Stafford). Not a weak spot here.
What a rough take this was. I still stand by Jacks having a solid roster but unfortunately he had a couple too many injuries. If Chase and Allen come back sooner, and Dobbins doesn't go out mid season, even with the crap that Stafford was, could have been okay. All in all... C+
EDawgs - A Sutton was a reach in the 3rd, but you made up for it with a Scarry Terry pick in the 4th. Life is better when you're at the draft. Starting with Mixon and Jones should help you too as strong RB's. Renfrow in the 7th and Knox in the 10th got you some incredible late round value.
Both WR picks turned out to be duds as their QB situations blew up both of their potentials. RB's have consistnetly been strong, but just not enough pieces around them to matter. C
Return of the PP - A- PP quietly had one of the better drafts. Harris & Chubb followed by Pittman and Metcalf is not a bad way to put some points on the board, although some of his picks may have been a bit of reach. What is going to hurt this team is what hurts his top 4 studs - you don't really have a good QB do you???
Honestly my grade was pretty appropriate and you've stuck with your studs all season, although who would have expected Josh Jacobs to be your stud and not Najee who has rode your bench all year. Once PP found some solid QB play, they have looked like who they have always wanted to be. A+
Chris B Bacon - B+ Godwin is a great find in the 7th. A top tier player who somehow fell down draft boards after getting hurt last season. Your 2 starting RB's combined for a total of 102 points last year. They're risky. But both tied to either a good or improving offensive has some potential. Pitts in the 4th is your steal of the draft. An unproven QB yes. A target monster, also yes. And getting BOTH Diggs & Adams... Look for a lot of receptions from this team overall.
Not sure who you even started at RB to start this season but looks like I was pretty on. Risky, and didn't pan out. But you lived by Diggs and Adams and having Lamar was a big bonus too. Godwin has looked better once he got healthy, which was your risk. Pitts....ha. B+
Cinci Forklifts - B+ Playoff Lenny may not have quite the same juice in him as he has in years past. I know you were RB needy in the 2nd as you saw many fly off before you, but this had to be a stretch. You would expect a guy you had an online draft kit helping him have the best draft. Your draft, and season, sits on much of what Diontae and Rashod end up being at the WR positions for you. Studs, or duds?
Your roster is so much different than what you drafted. And ranking you at #5 isn't far off than the #6 you should have finished in anyways. Just sucks that the other 5 were in the same division as you. Improving from Lenny as RB1 to having both Cook and Ekeler. Yum. We love that. B
Throw Bombs, Bang Moms - B+ Outside of CMC & Deebo, who are the potential stars on this team? Can one of the many depth picks make a surprise and blow up? We do like the stack of Kyler and Hollywood Deeper than most teams, but without the start potential...and injury prone...
I was worried about having people step up as stars and BOY did we have that. Waddle and Pierce looked great until we upgraded them for Justin Jefferson. Deebo Kyler and Hollywood all proved to be injury prone as well, but we knew that. Surrounded by depth with high ceilings, this team took off. A
Chicago Dogs - B Outside of Jefferson and Kamara, who are your studs? Even at that, Kamara wasn't a sure thing every week with their QB situation. Although he was a great get in round 2. Do you really expect James Conner to help lead you to victory? Love that you coupled Trey Lance late with the mid Tom Brady pick. But Jeudy, Mooney, and Burks all have HUGE upsides.
Without looking at your roster and just reading this quick recap, ouch. Jefferson panned out well and Conner looked okay, but when you were supposed to be excited about Kamara...Trey Lance...Mooney...Burks. Maybe upsides but clearly not this year. D+
Akron Aeros - B- Another team with a struggling group of RB's but at least you do have a starter in Zeke, but is he really the work horse? Did you reach and go with Hunt as a homer pick, or are you expecting him to get traded? Kupp, Evans, and Thomas might be the best WR trio in the league and Thomas in the 5th round was a great find.
Injuries crippled your potential, but you never really had stud RB's to begin with. Kupp kept you alive and sometimes that's all you need. Sorry bud. F
SQL Server - C+ Every team has a weak spot and for you... you have Devin Singletary as your RB2. Followed by what... Cordarrelle Patterson? Which Cordarrelle may have been a solid choice in the 8th round but you're hurting here. Outside of that, Dalvin, CeeDee & Mike Williams, along with Jalen Hurts and George Kittle has you ready for BLOW UP potential...and in the good way. But you also didn't pick a kicker.. so that docks you down.
Another one who traded most of your roster around, but it really worked for you didn't. Pieces were always there as you had Jalen Hurts and Dalvin, but another large chunk of guys that just weren't always consistent enough. You likely upgraded throughout the season, but the draft is pretty accurate. B-
Saving Private (Matt) Ryan - C- Having your WR1 as his actually teams WR2 is not setting yourself up well for big weeks, but you could be consisent. Taking Swift in the first round could turn out well, but is he going to split carriers? Did you realize he does play for the Lions.
I made fun of you for picking a lions player. Turns out that was a disgrace to the lions. And the Lions player you did take was very underwhelming. Sigh. F
Victorville City - D+ You get an automatic upgrade for picking JT and not Patty in round 1. But your 3 RB's, none starting for their respective teams at the moment, put you in a real bind. You're improving from last year and sometimes that is all we can ask.
What did you know that we all didn't?? The backup RB's that you picked all ended up with valuable playing time. Patty was worth the high pick for you, along with Tyreek, and JT took it up a notch as the season got going. Impressed A-
Team Keegs - D- You didn't even make these picks. You're lucky to not be getting an F for not showing up. While your team looks actually pretty good. You didn't draft this team. The League drafted this team. You should have brought all of that weed back to us instead of arresting that guy. Let him off easy. Prioritize the team.
Your team is good. You still didn't draft this team. Screw you. F
Anyways, to the results...
Quarter-Final RESULTS
Winners Bracket
Throw Bombs, Bang Moms (#5) vs Nice Diggs (#4)
CMC & Justin Jefferson are GODS. Ahhh. While neither ones were #1 at their position last week, having them together is a lethal duo that showed what they could accomplish when they both get utilized correctly. I took a big risk keeping Rhamondre in and not playing Mostert, which I thought was going to bite me in the but as I watched Mostert rush for 136 yards on a tough Buffalo defense, but then I got to watch Rhamondre go OFF in LV and then be a part of the worst NFL loss of all time. But thankfully, he still produced for me. Diggs continued to struggle. They really depended on the WR's throughout this season, knowing that the RB group didn't quite have it. But unfortunatley this week, his studs were not studs. They were duds. And duds don't win you championships. They are only good as Milk....milk duds.
On the bright side, another win and ASS and i get some tats :)
Prediction: RIGHT (1-0)
Ass Prediction: RIGHT (1-0)
Victorville Vengeance (#6) vs Team Keegs (#3)
"I think there will be a lot of points scored, just will it be enough to compete with what Victorville has....and I think it will be." What a fun first round for these two that ends in a lot of HURTS for Victorville. Victorville's run has been nothing short of admirable as they are in contention for the most improved team of the year, looking back to last season. And I just found out that Vic loves this league so much that he even tells his barber about us. How sweet. And how unfortunate that JT went down early with an injury, AND that he ran into Keegs in the first round of the playoffs in a week where Keegs absolutely looked on point putting up 140 while Andrews still scores under 5 points. Keegs continued to prove that they have a high ceiling and can score in BUNCHES. Josh Allen was happy to put on a show and redeem their last loss to MIA. Can their RB group continue to produce at this high of a level!?
Prediction: Keegs - RIGHT (2-0)
Ass Prediction: Victorville - WRONG (1-1)
The PP May Already Be Dead (#1) vs BYE
Congrats, you move on. You get a cookie. 3 out of the 4 teams playing last week in the Winners bracket would have beat you...

LOSERS BRACKET!!
Geno Help (#8) vs Team EDAWG (#9)
You didn't necessarily do well this week, but it was enough to get the job done. And it turns out that your decision to go with the RedRocket himself wasn't a great decision, but ultimately a decision that didn't matter too much... although you did keep your highest scorer of the week on the bench. But ultimately, you AND Taylor get to take a sigh of relief as you avoid the punishment thanks to a GIFT from EDAWG who just failed to compete this week, even with the Bengals doing well and Aaron Jones making an impact on Monday night. I've said all season that you need stars to win games. EDAWG just didnt have it this week. Do they have enough left at all?
Prediction: Geno Help - RIGHT (3-0)
Ass Prediction: Geno Help - RIGHT (2-1)
God Hates Forklifts (#7) vs Chicago Dogs (#10)
The ASS said that the forkies would put up 140 or more. And The Chicago Doggy Dogs told the ASS to eat their ass and put some RESPEK on their name as they dropped 133 for their best performance of the year in route to winning in the losers bracket, effectively eliminating their chance in sitting at Kilroys. Wouldn't we all have loved a plastered Chicago Dog in public? Ahhh. What could have been. Unfortunatley, while putting up the 4th highest in the league this week, the forkies didn't have enough in them and it can all go back to Thursday night when Brandon Aiyuk put up a dismal 2.9 points. This is a roster that is scary though. If they can get a feasible replacement at QB, they have a chance to put up big numbers next week.
Prediction: Forkies - WRONG (3-1)
Ass Prediction: Forkies - WRONG (2-2)
Looking Forward To Next Year (#11) vs BYE
Such a shame this week didn't count for you. Can you have another good week, or do they only come once every season?
Lake Erie Elves (#12) vs BYE
Worst score this week from the team coming into the Post Season ranked in last. Fitting. Maybe you saved it for next week? Is there anything left to be saved?
