What do I do if a child needs to be sent out of the classroom?
If a student needs a temporary workspace due to disruptive behavior, teachers can send the student to the team leader buddy room.
Teacher will complete the top part of the Team Leader Buddy Room Reflection Form
Teacher will send the student to the team leader with the reflection form
Teacher MUST send an email to the team leader first
Student should be out of the classroom for no more than 15 minutes
If a student is sent to the team leader buddy room, the teacher MUST contact home and document in FOCUS
Students will not be sent to neighboring classrooms as buddy rooms
