As the classroom teacher, you have the ability to control the environment in your classroom. Set the tone for what you expect from students. Be consistent and follow through on the consequences you set forth. Make sure that the routines and procedures in your classroom allow for the demonstration of positive behavior.
As you consider your classroom management strategies, use this document to plan for routines and procedures that will minimize off-task behavior and enable students to meet your expectations.
