The following names are used to describe armor properties:
Base AC - the base AC of armor. All armor AC is calculated as BASE_AC + (DEXTERITY BONUS - BULK, minimum 0)
Block X - provides X extra block at the start of combat, which lasts until the end of combat.
Bulk X - Reduce AC by (X - strength bonus, minimum 0), down to a minimum of 8.
Protection X - Gain X bonus to block checks.
Reduction X - Reduce incoming damage of some given type by X. Examples: Physical reduction 2, Fire reduction 1
Resistance - Provides resistance to a given type of damage. Examples: piercing resistance, cold resistance
Slow X - reduce movement speed by 5 * (x - strength bonus, minimum of 0.)
Shields come in two varieties: light, and heavy.
Barrel shield +1 to AC, spar, brace 3, bash 1d4
Buckler +1 to AC, spar, versatile, bash 1d4
Heater shield +2 to AC, bolster 1, bash 1d6 + repel 1
Round shield +2 to AC, bolster 1, brace 2, bash 1d6

The following names are used to describe shield properties:
Bash - The shield can be used to bash a creature as a reaction, if a melee attack has just been blocked or misses you. The damage dice and properties are listed alongside.
Block X - Provides X block at the start of combat, which lasts until the end of combat.
Bolster X - The wielder can spend an action to gain X temporary block until the start of their next turn.
Brace X - The wielder can spend a bonus action to gain a +X to block checks until the start of their next turn.
Spar - The wielder can spend a bonus action to use their acrobatics or athletics bonus for block checks until the start of their next turn.
Versatile - Can be wielded alongside versatile weapons, even while the versatile weapon is wielded in both hands, or alongside a light weapon that is being wielded in both hands, but it cannot be used to bash while doing so.
