What is an EKG & ECG?
An EKG & ECG are devices that measure the thought waves and heart waves of a person, respectively
EEG
The EEG is attached to the head of a participant and measures the brain waves. This is done through checking the mental activity of a person through stimuli. In our experiment, we used a person thinking of calm thoughts before having a sudden jumpscare. This creates a drastic jump in activity as fear increases the brainwaves.
ECG
The ECG is attached the wrists, and measures the activity of the heart. This was done through the participant in a calm state, before being forced into an active state, via exercise. This increased the heart rate of the participant, thus increasing the blood flow of the person.
