Week 1

For the first week of the USC Discover Engineering program, we worked on civil and environmental engineering. This took the form of the creation of a windmill with the ability to produce enough power to light an LED and a bridge that was able to support at least 4 bricks without breaking.

These projects taught us how to use weak materials like balsa wood to create structures able to perform their function, along with showing us the theory and introduction to creation overall.
