If e-ID is approved by the voters, road traffic offices should use e-ID

Issuer of the e-ID would be the government (same as with a passport or physical ID)

But regulation 741.51 must be changed (identification can take place in the road traffic office or online)

If voters don’t approve the law in March 2021, we suggest a partnership for the identification process

Swisscom as example offers video identification

Identification takes place online by a customer care manager of Swisscom and this person verifies the correctness of the identity
