Citizens receive a DDL on a smartphone app by the government

A plastic driver license is required to activate the DDL on the smartphone

Only used for traffic related situations (police officers check your data like name birth data etc. trough QR-Codes. The data is accessible for 5 minutes)

The DDL can only be used in Norway, as the EU hasn’t adopted a legal standard for digital licenses

Application can be made digital by the means of online forms

To get access to the online forms, identification is mandatory.

Identification takes place trough the Bank-ID or an e-ID
