Overview of Orthographic projection and dimensioning: Orthographic projection; Different types of lines, their uses and their precedence in drawing; Convention of orthographic drawing; Components of linear and circular dimension; Rules and practices of dimensioning.
Section view: Overview of section View; Cutting line; Cutting Plane; Different types of sections: Full section, Half section, Revolved section, Removed section, Broken-out section; Section lining; Rules and practices of section view.
Drawing of Fastener: Thread and thread terminology, detailed representation of thread, Schematic representation of thread, simplified representation of thread, Nut and bolt terminology, thread calculation, drawing of hexagonal nut and bolt.
Gear Drawing: Gear terminology, Gear calculation, Drawing of gear teeth.
Assembly Drawing: Overview of assembly drawing; types of assembly drawing; Bill of materials; Assembly drawing practice.
AutoCAD: Overview of AutoCAD 2D drawing ; Use of GRID, ORTHO, SNAP tools; 2D drawing and editing; Linear and circular dimensioning in AutoCAD; 3D drawing using extrude, revolve and sweep tools; 2D and 3d view and view ports; Solid operation using union, subtract and intersect tools.
