The streams of seconds carry
Events' canoe in tow
Where Zeitnot's tempests harry
Beyond the rim of cause
Where deadlines burned like matches
And questions all must pause
There spread eternal ashes

Секундные потоки
Несут событий чёлн
В цейтнота шторм жестокий
За горизонт причин
Где сроки прогорели
И не спросить зачем
Там вечность пепел стелет

ON BROADWAY

Amid the Broadway crowds that blindly
In Brownian fashion drift and jostle
I feel myself becoming kindly
And fellowship's devout apostle

The feeling is ideal my brother
Since none by anyone is needed
Not I nor neighbor nor the other
No matter whom the gaze has heeded

You're needed by the beggars solely
For all humaneness of creation
Don't notice those cast down and lowly
Which is a minor complication

Где все по-броуновски стремятся
Себя я чувствую добрее
И полон ощущенья братства

И это чувство идеально
Поскольку никому не нужен

Кого бы взгляд ни обнаружил

Ты нужен только попрошайкам
При всей гуманности вселенной
Опущенных не замечай ты
Что невеликая проблема

Let colorblind folks clear their vision
Before high-voltage splendors flowing
Beneath matte heavens color playing
Amid young Belgium's rolling spaces
So everyone the scene surveying
Would catch the moment as it races
With open spectra of sensation
Absorbing all the roadway streaming
To swap out Rembrandt's patination
For optics that Van Gogh sets screaming

Струящих цвет под небом матовым
Среди просторов юной Бельгии
Чтоб каждый зрением охватывал
Картину беглого мгновения
Раскрытым спектром восприятия
В себя вбирая всю дорогу
Чтоб заменить Рембрандта патину
Кричащей оптикой Ван Гога
