Lease of a House.
Was prefect Jacques Bourgeois of Paris, residing, etc., who by these presents gave at rent and money price, from the first day of next year, until and for fixed consecutive years, finished and fulfilled, and promises to allow Claude Marchand in Paris to enjoy during the said time, residing there with this prefect and accepting, lessee for him during the said time, a house located in Paris, rue, etc. where hangs for sign, etc. confifting, etc. to the said proud lessor, belonging; of which house and premises declared above, the lessee is satisfied, saying he knows it well, and is familiar with it, having seen and visited it, with which he is satisfied, to enjoy it, etc This present lease made for the sum of one hundred pounds of rent, for and by each of the said fixed years, which the said lessee promises and undertakes to pay to the said lessor in his residence or to the bearer of these presents, at the four usual terms of the year, the first of which will fall due on the first of April next, and thus continue at the said terms until the end of the present lease; made in addition to the following charges, clauses and conditions: Namely, by the said lessee, to furnish the said house and premises with usable personal property, as security for the said rent, to maintain it with all minor rental repairs and necessary to be made there during the said time, and at the end of the same to return it and leave it in good condition; to allow the grouting to be done, if any is appropriate; pay the sum of for the income from the mud and lantern tax fund which was redeemed.
