Isolani

During the Thirty Years' War, the Isolani family included a notable figure: Johann Ludwig Hector, Count of Isolani. He was a colonel in the Croatian cavalry of the Holy Roman Emperor's army. Isolani served during the Thirty Years' War, which was a major conflict fought primarily in Central Europe between 1618 and 1648 

1 Isolani, a Croatian general, commanded the Austrian imperial outposts under Wallenstein at the Battle of Lutzen. It was by his bloodthirsty bands that Gustavus Adolphus, although victorious, was killed in 1632.
