The dergon’s wing membranes and fin membranes take on a slight color change. This functions as a variation on the base color, remaining close but adding an additional color to the dergon.
Layering Rules
Layers under ALL other markings, but may affect the color of markings on top.
Can use any base slider color close to the chosen base color. Value may change by approximately 8 points in either direction, but it should remain close in hue and saturation to the chosen base.
The box on the side is an example; since the sliders feature a large swath of similar value colors in the middle using an HSV slider is safer! As long as the color looks like a slight variation on the base, it should be fine.
Wingsails may affect the Solid wing layer or the Faded wing layer.
Wingsails should have no major breaks or cutouts except where wing fingers or other limbs interrupts it.
Wingsails can affect the entire wing and fin membrane area. It should affect the entirety of either the solid or faded wing layer. (Range image shows the faded layer as Minimum and solid layer as Maximum.) Face and body sails may be optionally affected.
Wingsails' chosen color may overlap the edge of the base slider if the chosen base is close to the edge.
Wingsails may affect markings above it, altering colors either slightly lighter or darker, matching Wingsails; if Wingsails is lighter than the base, other markings should also change to be lighter than they appear on the main base.
Wing Sails CANNOT be affected by modifier genes unless they are affecting the base directly, such as Iridescent's effect. Wing Sails can, however, remain unaffected by modifier genes even if the base color is.
Wing Sails may have markings restrict only to the wings, as long as the marking does not have a 'Must Touch Spine' restriction, or other location-based rules, such as Snowcap appearing on the hip.
