We're going on an adventure!
Dergons have four main activities: Caving, Foraging, Hunting, and Scavenging. Caving rewards mineral items, Foraging rewards plants, Hunting rewards animals, and Scavenging rewards a bit of everything!
Your entry's Region will also determine the items you find- for instance, Hunting in a coastal region can reward you wtih fish!
Not looking for a specific prompt? Check out Adventuring for rewards for non-prompt art!
These Regions also correspond to Habitats! Your Dergon will have an easier time finding items in familiar territory. (Inland Mountains is the Mountains Habitat)
Regions can include more than one location on the world map, and locations can correspond to more than one Region! You also aren't limited to canon locations- if you want to draw your dergons on another world, go for it! Just list the closest Region when submitting your activities.
Arctic Glaciers (Boreal Fortress, Northwood)
High, snow-covered peaks and glaciers, adorned with pine trees. Winter clings here most of the year, but summer can reveal bedrock and lichen.
Desert Scrubland (Blazedune, Lizard's Hold)
Dunes with sparse sand ranging into chaparral hills, these stretches of hot, dry land hold more life than they appear to.
Floating Islands (Zephyrous Archipelago)
Defying physics, this isolated range of islands hold the most unique plant and animal life on the continent.
Fresh Waterways (Serpentwine, Landsend River, Blue Marsh, North Heart)
Rivers, creeks, and lakes wind through the land, teeming with fish and vegetation, as life is easy on their irrigated shores.
Granite Mines (Stonehold, Pine's Reaches)
Between natural caves and industrial efforts, deep tunnels puncture the mountains, granting access to minerals and metals.
Grassland Hills (West of the Serpentwine, north Landsend)
Broad swaths of grass stretch to the horizon, with animals and plants making their home among the waving golden stalks.
Inland Forests (Serpent's Valley, west Landsend, Northwood)
Thick old-growth woodland provides shelter for many creatures, as well as resources for settlements along their borders.
Mountains (Hallowreaches, Pine's Reaches, Stonehold)
Rugged peaks stretch to the sky, with forests encroaching on their roots. Animals and mosses make hardscrabble lives on the bare stone above the treelines.
Lava Fields (Molten Forest, east of Stonehold)
The still-warm remains of active lava flows, this once-lush plain is full of black ashy earth and poisonous pools. Watch your step...
Saltwater Islands (Sailfin Archipelago, the Leap)
Some large enough to host nations, and others struggling to find space for a fishing shack, these islands teem with life above and below the waves.
Sandstone Sculptures (Storming Monuments, Lizard's Hold)
Wind and sand have carved these stones into twisting caverns and towering formations. Despite the arid conditions, lizards, birds, and flowers thrive.
Sea Cliffs (Sailfin Archipelago, Sailfin Bay)
With a sheer drop separating land and sea, creatures here take advantage of flight. Fish are plentiful, if you can get back up the cliff!
Tropical Rainforest (Landsend Peninsula, Sailfin Archipelago)
Thick jungle foliage covers a dimly lit forest, with plants and animals vying for sunlight beneath the canopy of giants.
These activities should meet minimum Art Requirements, and follow our general Activity Submission Rules! A full breakdown can be found on the linked pages, but here are the basics:
Art:
Fullbody (50% or more)
Color
Simple Background
Up to four dergons can be rolled for within a single activity submission!
Literature:
400 words (+200 per additional dergon)
Simple 'Background' (a few sentences establishing the scene)
Up to four dergons can be rolled for within a single activity submission!
Rules:
Activity pieces may be commissioned, collaborated, gifted, or done by yourself!
Art must be posted somewhere an admin can see without logging in
Panels of comics, or art and writing, may be 'combined' to meet requirements where only one component would not
No AI generated content may be redeemed for rewards
Traced work cannot be redeemed for rewards
Reused art (YCH lines, backgrounds) may only be redeemed for rewards once
Multiple Dergons:
The four dergons within an Activity submission may be doing different activities! A dergon Scavenging and a dergon Caving will be rollable within the same piece.
Likewise, dergons over the limit of 4 may be doing other things; a dergon may be completing an Aerial Display above the gatherers.
Art which was gifted as part of an event may be used for Activities IF they have not already given the dergon's owner an ITEM reward! A gift for Seasonal Group Credit may be redeemed for activities, as no items were given out for it, only currency; a Crashing Through the Snow gift, however, would give the depicted dergon's owner items, and thus may not be re-used for an Activity submission!
Up to four dergons can be rolled at once! Please include a separate form for each of them. You may submit up to 7 Activity pieces per week! Your Activities can be submitted in our Discord Server, HERE with the following form:

Despite appearances, dergons do have the capacity to learn! After completing 5 submissions in a single activity type (such as Caving or Scavenging), a dergon can level up their skill in that activity. (More info on Skills and Boons coming soon!)
A higher level means bringing back more items and more of each item, plus more chances for rare items! A dergon will gain more chances for another item, guaranteed items, or chances for rare items as they level up.
Post HERE with the result comments of your 5 completed Activities to level up your dergon!

Available Regions: Arctic Glaciers, Floating Islands, Granite Mines, Lava Fields, Mountains, Saltwater Islands, Sandstone Sculptures, Sea Cliffs
Depict your dergon searching a rocky or underground location for treasure! Dergons often enter caves in search of rocks, gems, and metals. Caves may be large, small, dim or lit, or even underwater. Does your dergon come prepared with tools, or perhaps they're just eating whatever rocks they find?
Available Regions: Desert Scrubland, Floating Islands, Fresh Waterways, Grassland Hills, Inland Forests, Mountains, Sea Cliffs, Tropical Rainforest
Depict your dergon gathering plants from the wilderness! Many locations have edible flora if you know where to look, but some locations are more bountiful than others, and more forgiving on the untrained mushroom hunter. Does your dergon have a guide with them, or are they just biting leaves until something tastes good?
Available Regions: All!
Depict your dergon pursuing an animal- whether by trap, weapon, or pursuit! While dergons do primarily eat meat, many are willing to befriend an animal they'd otherwise encounter on a dinner plate. For dergons, Hunting does not have to mean their prey is eaten- animals gathered by Hunting may be tamed instead of used as food!
Available Regions: All!
Depict your dergon scrounging around, or finding a new use for discarded oddities! Scavenging is the art of picking up stuff you find on the ground. Sometimes it's useful, sometimes it's tasty, and sometimes you just flip over a log and find a cool bug. Where does your dergon look? And what do they find?
