Yale Heights in southwest Baltimore offers residents a quiet urban neighborhood located just outside of the city. Situated between the communities of Beechfield and Irvington, this densely populated community is exclusively residential and features homes built during the mid 1950s. Primarily comprised of traditional-style rowhouses, homes here are two-stories tall and feature red-brick facades, including short front stoops and narrow front and back yards. Offering increased square footage, prospective buyers can choose from minimalist styles like ramblers or Colonials. Featuring three-bedrooms and two-baths, as well as spacious front and backyards, these homes also include paved driveways and plenty of lush scenery. For those looking to rent, this neighborhood also offers one- and two-bedroom apartment options.

The National Baltimore Cemetery
The cemetery is one of seven national cemeteries established between World War I and World War II in response to the increased veteran population and dwindling burial space in the existing national cemetery system. The site is the former Cloud Capped estate, owned by the Randall family and purchased by the War Department. The cemetery occupies 72 acres along Frederick Road, which had served as Baltimore’s connection to the National Road at Cumberland, Maryland. Construction of the cemetery was carried out by the Works Progress Administration from 1937 to 1940. The former estate’s mansion was demolished, and its materials were used to build a superintendent’s lodge and other improvements.
