The Beechfield Community and Improvement Association has been trying for several years to get speed humps installed in their community. With the hard work of dedicated community members over 70% of the necessary resident signatures were obtained for the approval of the Baltimore City Department of Transportation. Speed humps along with other traffic calming devices where installed in early August along Melbourne Rd and Wickham Road. The community held an event on Monday, September 10th to celebrate the occasion. City Council President Jack Young and his representative, Zoe Michal, were present.
