The Tremont neighborhood is a quiet, close-knit community located in Southwest Baltimore. It is known for its well-maintained, attached brick rowhouses and is conveniently located near both downtown and large parks.

Location and access: Tremont is situated about five miles from Downtown Baltimore and is bordered by the Ten Hills community. The neighborhood is walkable and has good access to public transit, with the CityLink blue and purple lines providing service to downtown.

The Southwestern District is comprised of communities such as Irvington, Edmondson Village, Allendale and Ten Hills. It is the home to the Gwynns Falls Trail and Leakin Park, which together comprise more than 1,000 acres —one of the larger urban wilderness preserves in the United States. The Southwestern District is also home to the historical 300-acre Loudon Park Cemetery, where Union and Confederate graves are located on opposite hills.
