1996

For 1996 the Cutlass Ciera would enter it's final year. The N body Cutlass replaced it for the 1997 model year as a stop gap product until the N body Alero could appear in 1999. The 1996 Cutlass Cruiser was the last Oldsmobile wagon. Despite it's 1982 roots, the Cutlass Ciera remained Oldsmobile's best stilling vehicle. Like all American market vehicles, the Ciera and Cruiser were upgraded t OBD II on-board diagnostics. This year neither the word "Cutlass" on the front fenders nor the "Oldsmobile" emblem on the header panel would return.
