1995

1995 was the final year Oldsmobile used the full "Cutlass Ciera"name on their sedan models. The following year, sedans were dubbed "Ciera" while the wagons continued to use their full name, "Cutlass Cruiser". In their advertising, Oldsmobile had already begun calling the sedan models "Ciera", creating distance between the old A-car and the upcoming totally redesigned Cutlass on the N-platform that would arrive in 1996 as a 1997 model.

The previous year's "S" designation was dropped and in it's place the "SL" returned as the lone trim level. Buyers could now choose between "Series I" and 'Series II" option packages.
