1990

1990 brought several changes to the Cutlass Ciera line. This would be the final year for the XC package, which had been introduced in 1988 as part of Oldsmobile's 90th anniversary celebration (the actual anniversary being August 21, 1987).

The Iron Duke 4 cylinder got it's single largest horsepower improvement, now up to 110. This year the SL (formally Brougham) coupe was dropped from the line up leaving just the S and International Series coupes. The line up however did gain a new base model sedan to cut costs and boost sales. All models now had revised dash vents that featured a more rounded appearance.

At 411 units, the 1990 S37 International Coupe is the rarest Cutlass Ciera model ever produced (based on VIN, not option packages).

Even rarer than that, the 1990 Cutlass Ciera XC wagon was a $604 option (B2E) on the Crusier S. There were only 179 built (Thank you Jay Beausoleil for this information!).
