Week 9 - Lesson planning & Digital Technologies
Where do you think you are situated in the TPACK diagram? Which areas do you need to be building on?
In the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) diagram, I believe I am primarily situated at the intersection of technological knowledge and content knowledge. My strong background in PDHPE allows me to teach concepts related to health and physical education effectively. I am also confident in utilising various digital tools, such as Kahoot, for interactive quizzes and engagement, which supports my teaching strategies.
However, I recognise that my pedagogical knowledge requires further development. Understanding how to integrate technology effectively into diverse teaching strategies is crucial for maximising student learning outcomes. While I am comfortable with technology, I need to enhance my skills in creating instructional designs that effectively combine technology with pedagogical approaches tailored to different learning styles.
Additionally, I aim to deepen my understanding of the pedagogical strategies that facilitate technology integration, as highlighted by Roblyer and Doering (2014) and Tondeur et al. (2017). By focusing on these areas, I can create more dynamic and engaging learning environments that incorporate technology and leverage it to enhance student understanding and participation in PDHPE. This will ultimately support my goal of fostering a more inclusive and interactive classroom environment.
