Peer Fellows serve as peer mentors in working one-on-one with students to achieve their academic and/or personal goals
(TBD)
Peer Fellows can be found tabling at Campus Center sharing valuable information and tips on different topics encompassing mental and social health, academic success, and more
In partnership with the CSDC and other campus organizations, Peer Fellows can be found in our campus community at tabling events and in student wellness workshops
Juggling classes, homework, extracurriculars, a social life, etc. can be tough. Peer Fellows can help you with time and task management, planning ahead, and other skills to help keep you and your life organized.
Sometimes watching Netflix and eating ice cream is necessary. Peer Fellows assist you in navigating the world of self-care, balance and moderation, developing healthy coping skills, etc.
For those that may have just moved to Hawaiʻi or feel intimidated by your new life in college, we're here for you! Peer Fellows can work with you to establish your "new life" here at UHM by connecting you to different campus departments or clubs.
Communication is the foundation for a successful academic and personal life. If you feel like you're in need of assistance to work on your social or communication skills, we're here to help you.
Peer Fellows are eager to connect with other resources on campus! We appreciate building connections and relationships with all the many organizations/programs that support our students. Additionally we have been working to network and even give presentations about stress management and our services.
Peer Fellows occasionally host workshops open to the student population at UHM. These presentations/workshops are based on topics such as student mental health, recognizing and supporting students in distress, and time management. Peer Fellows also develop outreach and/or programming for at-risk students.
