The Counseling and Student Development Center (CSDC) offers support to UH Mānoa students to assist with mental health, personal, or academic concerns. All clinical services are confidential. Short-term individual, couples and group counseling services are free of charge for Mānoa students. They also offer free urgent consultation to faculty and staff on student-related concerns. In addition, psychiatric services and assessment services are available for a fee.

The Rainbow Wellness program provides dedicated mental health and student-athlete wellness services, housed within the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM) Athletic Department. The Brief Alcohol Screening & Intervention for College Students (BASICS) is free and offered to all students to learn about their drug and alcohol use. However, the main goal of the program is to educate students about risky behaviors and harmful consequences. There are two sessions: one is completed online and the second is in-person feedback. The Center on Disability Studies (CDS) and the OFDAS Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) have partnered to create a sensory room at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM). This initiative, funded by the UH Foundation and the Oak Foundation, brings a 13-item sensory room to campus along with a free online course—“CAMP+U” for faculty, staff, and administrators focused on disability awareness, Universal Design for Learning, educational technology to support learner agency, strategies to strengthen classroom belonging as well as sensory integration.
