Fatboss
2 Phase Encounter
I have multiple strategies for heroic listed. If your group is having serious problems handling Omega Vector, or just keeping up with the overall healing requirement, I highly recommend using one of the alternate strategies. The three group spread strategy for handling Omega Vector will most likely be what the majority of groups find easiest.
Phase 1 - Revolves around debuff management.
- Evolving Affliction
- Tank debuff, one application every 10 seconds
- Deals small amount of damage, but stacks infinitely
- 12s debuff
- Current tuning is roughly 20k initially, 40k, 60k, 80k, etc
- 26k, 53k, 79k etc on mythic
- Omega Vector
- 10s DoT on random players
- Applied to 3 random players at the beginning of the fight
- Upon expiring, jumps to the closest ally
- Leaves behind a debuff called Lingering Infection
- Lingering Infection
- Increases nature damage you take by 5% per stacks. ALL damage of this boss is nature damage.
- Contagion
- Large AoE damage ability on the entire raid. Current tuning is 31k damage per person, modified by lingering infection.
- Gestate
- Boss casts at a random player. At the end of the cast, the target is stunned and gets a 5s DoT. Also deals AoE damage to anyone within 5 yards once the player becomes stunned
- The AoE damage can just be healed through
- After 5s, an add spawns
- Casts Immunosuppression, large healing absorb on the raid.
- Healers need to just heal through these absorbs.
- DPS must kill asap
- Phase 1 Strat
- Entire raid stacks just off center behind the boss, with a raid marker 7 yards to the right and another marker 3 yards to the left.
- Tanks run into the middle group when they need to drop their buff
- If someone gets >5 stacks of Lingering Infection, they move to the left marker so they can no longer get hit by the Omega vector.
- Highly recommend practicing stack management on Heroic in preparation for Mythic. The more strict you are managing in Heroic, which should be fairly simple for Mythic guilds, the better Mythic progression will go.
