Single Phase encounter, Two Distinct Stages
Overview:
This fight consists of three chambers, separated by blue arcane barriers. If you pass through the barrier, you explode the raid, dealing 25k damage to all players. Also, if you’re moving into a chamber further down the hallway and closer to the final chamber, including entering the final chamber, you also spawn an add that must be tanked and killed. The arcane barriers act as a LoS prevention mechanic. The goal is to get MOTHER to the third chamber as slowly as you possibly can, as chamber 3 has a hard "enrage" mechanic timer. If you cannot kill the boss in the 3rd chamber within a certain amount of time, it insta-wipes the raid. However, in practice, this is very unlikely to happen.
If your raid has very good DPS, I recommend skipping the detailed explanation and using the cheese strat.
- Sanitizing Strike
- Tank mechanic, you CAN simply avoid this mechanic by moving behind her when she casts it. If you get hit, deals a moderate amount of damage, plus a debuff making subsequent hits deal 50% more damage, stacking indefinitely.
- Purifying Flames
- Red swirly under your feet. Explodes with a plume of flame after a few seconds. Take a guess what to do.
- Wind Tunnel
- On a timer, wind comes into all of the chambers, pushing the raid towards one direction. There is a lava patch at the far side edges of each chamber. Don’t get blown into lava patch. The raid can stack in the doorway area right near the arcane barriers, and allow the wind to push you into the wall.
- Winds alternate direction throughout the fight

- Once the boss is in chamber 2, lazer beams begin periodically passing through chambers 2 and 3 on a timer. They form a wall, with an open area. Just run through the open area, don't get hit by them.

- Lazer beam drops from the ceiling, same idea as the ones from the side. Cover most of the area, with a safe zone
- Safe zone is indicated by golden swirls on the ground
- IMPORTANT: Wind and Purifying Flames CAN overlap.
- Chamber Movement & Strat
- We need to slowly move the raid through each barrier. Each chamber has an energy bar starting at 0, that ticks up 1 energy every 2 seconds. When the chamber hits 100% energy, it instantly kills everyone left in that chamber with fire.
- The goal is to move everyone as late as we can, to prolong Stage 1 and Stage 2 time.
- One add spawns for each person passing through the barrier, along with an AoE explosion dealing 25k to the entire raid
- The add casts an ability called Clinging Corruption, does 17k to raid plus 15k/s for 5 seconds
- Adds must be interrupted, can be stunned & knocked back.
- The barrier acts as LoS. However, AoE effects can cleave to the adds through the barrier.
- Ie: Ignite, Blizzard, etc.
- First send a group of 3 - 1 tank, 2 AoE DPS with stuns first.
- Then 1 dps 1 heal
- Then alternate, 2 dps, 1 heal 1 dps, 2 dps, 1 heal 1 dps etc.
- Last group through is the second tank, plus his assigned healer.
- In larger groups, you may need to send groups of 3, that should only be 75k damage total to everyone.
- This last group MUST move out before chamber energy hits 100. Boss follows, activating the next chamber
- Rinse and repeat. We need to cross 2 barriers following this strat.
