2 Phase Encounter, with p2 occuring at 66%, and 33% hp on boss.
Overarching Mechanic of the fight is Annihilation stacks
- Annihilation reduces your MAX HP by 1% per stack for the rest of the fight, as well as a small DoT
- Heroic DoT is 1370/3s per stack
- After taking a stack of Annihilation, you spawn an Existence Fragment at your feet for every 2 stacks you gained
- Soaking a fragment reduces your Annihilation stacks by 2
- The VAST majority of abilities that deal Annihilation stacks can and must be avoided
- Essence Shear
- Frontal cone ability, deals moderate tank damage and applies 16 Annihilation stacks
- Also prevents anyone hit from spawning Existence Fragments for 25 seconds
- Oblivion Sphere
- Spawns an orb on a random raid member, charms everyone within 5 yards
- While charmed, take small ticking damage + 1 stack of Annihilation every 2s
- Spheres cannot be killed by DPS to stop the charms, but they are broken when the charmed players are sufficiently knocked back. Regular knockbacks work well, and damaging the charmed players also knocks them back slightly based on the amount of damage
- When the charmed players break free, deals 24k to the raid
- Spheres do NOT despawn in phase 1
- Imminent Ruin
- 12s debuff on 2 players
- When it expires, AoE explosion for 30k damage
- You take less damage the further away you are
- Anyone within 12 yards of the explosion gains 4 Annihilation stacks
- Obliteration Blast
- Frontal ability targeted at a random raid member, hits everything in its path
- Moderate damage, and applies 8 stacks of Annihilation to anyone hit
- Phase 1 Strat
- Tank boss near the wall, raid loosely spread out around the center of the room, /range 6
- Imminent Ruin targets need to run to opposite sides of the room ASAP
- Obviously may not always be possible. If the targeted players are near each other, just run opposite directions towards the walls
- Oblivion Spheres must be broken as quickly as possible, with knockbacks used to break the affected people out or ranged dps switching and damaging the affected players, knocking them back
- Once everyone is broken from a sphere, don't go near it.
- I recommend having 3-5 people assigned to break orb charms, NOT the entirety of the ranged dps
- Tanks must swap every Essence Shear
- NOBODY is to pick up Existence Fragments except for tanks, unless you're over 25 stacks
- After a tank swap, whichever tank just took an Essence Shear needs to run around the room and clear their stacks
- Officers will need to keep an eye on everyone else’s stacks, and call for anyone who needs to clear some of theirs
- Rule of thumb is have people over 25 clear stacks
- After second Phase 2, have anyone over 20 get clear themselves to below 20
- If you are short on Existence Fragments, you can assign 1-2 players to be hit by Essence Shear that have low stacks
- Will not kill most DPS if they use some type of personal, and spawns the most Existence Fragments of any ability you can soak
- This creates extra orbs for tanks to soak
- Having tanks <10 stacks at all times is a priority
- When the boss reaches 20% HP, no more Existence Fragments spawn, must burn boss ASAP
