ATIST STATEMENT
These older works are early examples of my desire to imbue abstracted and (somewhat) random forms with human qualities: to create a story about awkwardness, imperfection and grace under scrutiny. Working with young creative energy kept me fluid, flexible and less worried about "messing up".
Role at Crossroads? Middle and Upper School ceramics faculty.
Teaching Philosophy? For me, inspiration starts when there is a sense of adventure or curiosity. The leads to an engagement with the material and comfort/confidence expressing oneself through their medium.
