ARTIST STATEMENT
A place of contemplation, reflection, and rectification. Gan Eden.
A poem by Patrick S. Duffy about me.
I'm looking at you,
I'm looking at you,
You think you know!
You think you know!
I am my art, I am my art!
I live because I have art!
My soul is my art!
My soul is my art!
Art should not preach but be!
My art is my soul, my soul is me!
What art classes did you take while at Crossroads? I took dance production, and drama, with Davida Willis Hurwin. Both were influential in my becoming a painter.
How did Crossroads help to shape or influence you as an artist? I believe and feel strongly to this day that Crossroads helped me to refine and to inspire my creative independence. And to believe in myself.
