ARTIST STATEMENT
My passion for photography emerged during my world travels. The images I have captured during my travels always help me back to the special moment, allowing me to relive the experience all over again. I have had my work published online for National Geographic's "Your Shot's Daily Dozen" and featured in galleries in Los Angeles.
What art classes did you take while at Crossroads? While I was at Crossroads, my main focus was academics and athletics. I did take pottery classes, because it fit into my schedule. I always envied seeing the photos hanging outside of the darkroom and the variety of creative images. This certainly helped plant a seed in me to pursue photography when the opportunity presented itself.
How did Crossroads help to shape or influence you as an artist? I think being exposed to a creative environment and having so many options made me feel like anything was possible. Once I finished my pursuit of athletics, I knew that it would be time to explore my creative side.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This image was taken in Delhi, while I was in a taxi at a red light. A vendor came to my window to try and sell me a balloon and ask for a handout. As my taxi driver rolled up the window, the young girl leaned on the window staring in at me through the window.
