Exhibit 9: Blended Beauty
Exhibit 9: Blended Beauty
Original - First Design
Second Design - Revision
Background
For our ninth exhibit, we were given the choice of doing anything we have learned so far from the class. I decided to use a previous photoshoot and incorporate new techniques I have learned thus far in the class.
Photoshop
For this exhibit, I used prior experience and watched a video on how to blend two images together.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOYz669WNpU here is the link to the full tutorial. I just used different images for this.
Design
The design I went for here was to be able to apply the blending skills I learned in this section and make something new and different. I like abstract and surrealism so I wanted to make this design along the lines of that.
Contrast was used in the black and white of her and the color of the mountain.
Repetition was applied when blending her to the background to make it look like it flows together.
Alignment here was important because I wanted to get the mountain and water to be the secondary focus while not removing the main focus from her.
Proximity was having her be the center focus and the blending be the second thing you see.
The color scheme was using whites and blacks to give contrast with a bit of blues, reds, and oranges.
