Exhibit 10: Enhancement
Exhibit 10: Enhancement
Original - First Design
Second Design - Revision
Background
Our last exhibit was something of our choice. I am a photographer who does a lot of portraits, so for my last exhibit, I wanted to revamp my previous edits and use the new skills I learned to enhance and make them better.
Photoshop
For these two exhibits, I used various techniques in Photoshop.
I lightened the image and created a new layer adding the original image and then used the brush to erase around the eyes to give that light look.
I then made it a smart object and went into camera raw to change the contrast, individual colors, and enhance other features.
I used the smart object selection to outline the models, created a new mask and lightened it to give the look of a light shining on them.
Design
The design of the images was based on my ideas as a photographer. I like portrait photography so a lot of my work is portrait work. I have learned a lot and decided to incorporate the new skills to make my prior edits even better than before. I wanted to enhance and make my old work more HD.
Contrast was used in several ways for both images by applying different lighting to make the models stand out. I made sure to make the darks and lights contrast each other.
Repetition was applied by creating different layers and adding them to each other with different edits to make it more HD.
Alignment for these images was having the models be in the center of the different backgrounds.
Proximity was having the main focal point be the models and their eyes be the attention grabbers.
I used different color schemes for both images to give the summer vibe and the grungy vibe.
