Exhibit 8: Business Card
Exhibit 8: Business Card

Background
Our eighth exhibit was also our choice of design. This week we learned about how to design a brochure or business card, so I took the approach of creating a business card for my photography business Sublime Epiphany. I liked this exhibit a lot because I want to start handing out business cards and get more clients now that Summer is approaching.
Photoshop
In Photoshop I didn't do a lot. I expanded the image and used content-aware. I cropped it and then added the text. This image is a recycled image from a photoshoot I did awhile back.
Design
The design I was going for was a business card vibe. Alinne is the model and since this picture captures her beauty a lot and the background contrasts her, I figured this would be a good image to use as a business card.
I used content-aware to expand the white part of the image giving more space to add the text that contrasts against it. She also stands out a lot given that she has beautiful contrasting features.
Repetition was used when expanding the white part.
Alignment was used by having the text be aligned in the center-right and her in the rule-of-thirds.
Rule of thirds proximity was applied here.
The color scheme was using whites and blacks to give contrast with a bit of blues, reds, and beiges.
